Greece, Cyprus & Israel Strengthen Educational Ties

Greece, Cyprus and Israel have announced their continued collaborative efforts in education.

Greek Education Minister Andreas Loverdos met with his colleagues, Cypriot Education Minister Costas Kadis and Israeli Education Minister Shai Piron, on the margins of a UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development in Japan, according to a press release and reported by Parikiaki.

The Educations Ministers convened about their desire to strengthen efforts between the three nations, so each state's education sector can continue to advance and assist one another. Greece, Cyprus and Israel plan to boost their tertiary education partnerships in universities, to benefit scientists and students.

The three are focusing on the application of the Mediterranean Strategy for Education and Sustainable Development. Israeli Education Minister Piron has been invited to Greece to further discuss their educational ties, during Cypriot Education Minister Kadis' scheduled December trip.
