Cypriot Territories Discuss Property Issues & Federal Competences
According to international reports, Cypriot governmental spokesman Nikos Christodoulides has declared his expectations and hope, that solid developments will result from new discussions that began yesterday.
New dialogue has been conducted by negotiators Greek Cypriot Andreas Mavroyiannis and Turkish Cypriot Kudret Ozersay. According to CNA, Mavroyiannis stated, "Today we submitted in writing our proposals on the property issue and the federal competences, the Turkish side submitted its proposals on the property issue and the federal public service and the two sides made preliminary remarks on the documents".
Friday brings discussions concerning the island's property matters. During the scheduled meetings, both sides will offer technical issue based proposals. The Cypriot spokesman commented that negotiations will progress on May 13th. Both territorial heads will enter the second phase of property issues and present related documents. The North will also offer foreign affairs reports.
