Underwater tunnel linking Attica with Salamis begins work in 2022

The "never-ending" work of the Submarine Link of Salamis - Perama is picking up the pace. Ten years after the start of the tender, after 12 extensions and with the process being frozen several times due to lack of design maturity, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has now put on track the project that will unite Salamina with the urban complex of Attica, upgrading the development prospects of the island and the wider area. Within 2022, if there are no legal obstacles, the temporary contractor of the project will emerge, finally changing the pace in a competition that has gone through many trials and tribulations.

The 8th Expotrof - The Greek Fine Food Exhibition honors the Region of Central Greece this year and has organized a variety of culinary events through which the participating companies will have the opportunity to highlight the excellent quality products of their place of origins, such as cold cuts, herbs, honey, olive oil, and of course traditional cheeses.

Through an interactive experience, the visitors of the exhibition will have the opportunity to be informed about Greek products, but also about the secrets of the culinary art. In addition, on the stage of "Cooking Greece" gastronomy lovers will have the opportunity to attend targeted workshops and thematic presentations.

Finally, the Athens Fine Food Awards (AFFA), the most important quality and taste awards in the country will have their own special presence at the 8th Export. As part of the event, those products that stood out for their quality features, innovation and packaging will be awarded. It is worth noting that AFFA is attended by hundreds of products from Greek producers each year, which compete in 27 rating categories.

New era of digital meetings

It is noted that Exportrof organizes all commercial B2B meetings digitally through the specially designed platform www.thedelifair.gr. All B2B trade meetings will take place at a predetermined time after the exhibition. Producers who wish to conclude trade agreements, from whatever corner of Greece they are, now have the opportunity to make an appointment with Greek and international companies, easily and safely from their own space.

Arson attacks against homes of journalist and police unionist

Hellenic Police (ELAS) are looking for answers after the coordinated attack with gas canisters on the houses of the journalist, Dimitris Kampourakis, and the unionleader/police officer, Vassilis Doumas.

The arson attacks took place simultaneously at 2:30 in the early hours of Tuesday in the houses of Messrs. Kambourakis and Doumas located in Argyroupoli and Kypseli, respectively.

The explosions caused only material damage to the doors of both houses in Argyroupoli and Kypseli.

The journalist, Dimitris Kampourakis, spoke about the attack against his home in the early hours of the morning in the apartment building where lives in Argyroupoli.

Speaking to ERT channel, he referred to the moment of the explosion, but also gave information about the perpetrator.

"I was asleep and I heard a terrible noise. I was thrown out of bed and I came out," pointed out Mr. Kambourakis and noted that the stranger had placed an" explosive device on the landing ".
