Emergency 112 warning sent to Attica residents due to severe weather

An emergency warning was sent to Attica residents from the 112 Emergency Communications Service on Thursday, warning them of dangerous weather conditions and to avoid all non-essential travel.
The unimpeded flow of traffic on Pireos Street was restored on Thursday afternoon, the traffic police reported, after it was temporarily interrupted at two points due to flooding at the junctions with Petrou Ralli and Hamosternas roads.

The head of a statue dating back to Roman times was pulled out of the sea near Preveza, at a depth of about 10 metres. According to an announcement by the Ministry of Culture, this is the head of a Roman-era statue, probably made at the time of the emperors Antoninus or Severus (2nd - 3rd century AD).

The discussion that took place at the amphitheater of the Hellenic American Union on Monday, October 11, on the subject of Greece's prospects of becoming a cinema center of international scope, was particularly lively. The Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy and Extroversion, Costas Frangogiannis and the well-known American producer and former president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts, Sid Ganis, invited to Greece by the Hellenic American Union, talked about the potential attraction in this direction.

The event was attended by film professionals, directors, producers, journalists and students. Also in the audience was Nancy Ganis, Ganis' public relations manager, writer, producer and wife, who made keynote speeches during the discussion. Also present were the President and CEO of The National Centre of Audiovisual Media and Communication (EKOME), Panos Kouanis and the Chairman of the Board of the Hellenic Cinema Center, Markos Holevas, who participated in the discussion. EOT - Dynamic promotion of "rural" Arcadia in the Italian market

The representatives of seven travel agencies specializing in this type of travel, as well as a journalist and a blogger from Italy, were left very impressed by the natural beauty of Arcadia and the possibilities it offers for outdoor tourism activities.
