The Greek Finance Ministry announced today that the nation's primary budget surplus held 707 million euros in the first six months of 2014, that amounts to approximately 70 million euros more than its set goal, according to reports.

The troika is expected to put more pressure on the government to find an additional 2 billion euros in cuts after a look at the the draft 2014 budget.
