Athens Offers Budget Online
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The municipality of Athens has announced that it will begin offering data on line in real time, on the municipality's operations and functioning, "for the first time in the annals of local governance," as the announcement mentioned.
Specifically on the municipality's website www.cityofathens.gr and at the Electronic Service Center any citizen can follow the course of municipality proceeds and expenses for this year, but also for all years after 2005.
As mayor Giorgos Kaminis noted: "The municipality of Athens holding transparency in finances as an inviolable principle, is offering citizens the ability to follow the budget in real time."
