Kyritsis sets new lows for government rhetoric

His post reads: "Western civilization sent millions of children to gas chambers, and Western societies vote for the political descendants of those who did it. For Islamists nothing similar has been recorded."

In this unfathomably miserable post, Mr. Kyritsis equates Nazis with western civilization, something for which the followers of Adolf Hitler are much obliged. The fact that western civilization was the force that actually stood up to Adolf Hitler to defend western values, at a time when Mr. Kyritsis' ideological allies (he claims to be a Marxist-Leninist) had signed a pact with the German dictator to enslave the Baltic countries and carve up Poland, totally eludes him.

He also misses the point that the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Haj Amin al-Hussein was an ardent admirer of Hitler and travelled to Berlin to meet with him in an effort to help Hitler recruit islamists to his cause. Their connecting ground was  the mission to send "millions of children to gas chambers" because they had the misfortune to be born Jews.

Mr Kyritsis also misses a point much closer to home. The last historic Muslim caliphate, the Ottoman Empire, tried to cleanse its empire of Christian minorities, Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks  through genocide between 1914-23, setting the example for Adolf Hitler's policies and his famous phrase "Who, after all, speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians?" As Abram L. Sachar, an Jewish-American historian, founding president of Brandeis University and former leader of B'nai Brith Hillel Society, wrote: "...the genocide was cited approvingly twenty-five years later by the Fuehrer...who found the Armenian 'solution' an instructive precedent."

Mr Kyritsis also fails to recognize the brutality of ISIS, the indiscrimination of Al Qaeda and its affiliates in targeting civilians and children, the almost total extermination of the last vestiges of Christianity in the Middle East, the cultural horror that is Saudi Arabia, and the ideal of exterminating all Jews, that all the facets of islamists (whether Sunni or Shiite) profess.

Another point for ignorance!
