- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The court has accepted the proposals made by the prosecutor handing Akis Tsohatzopoulos a sentence of 20 years in jail.
The only exception was in the case of his daughter, Areti Tsohatzopoulou.
More specifically, the sentences are as follows: Akis Tsohatzopoulos, 20 years; Asterios Economidis 12 years; Efrosini Lambropoulou 13 years; Vicky Stamati 12 years; Ioannis Sbokos 16 years; Nikolaos Georgoulakis 10 years; Panayotis Stamatis 6 years; Oratios Melas 10 years; Konstantinos Antoniadis 10 years; Gudrun Moldenauer 6 years; Fotios Arvanitis 6 years; Nikolaos Karatzas 6 years; Georgios Konstantatos 10 years.
The prosecutor did not recognize any extenuating circumstances for any of those judged guilty, apart from Nikos Zigras for whom he recognized true repentance.
The court let off Cypriot lawyer Spyros Hadjinikolaou and businessman Pantelis Zahariadis, due to lack of evidence.
