British tourist killed on Zakynthos
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
A British tourist died tragically after losing control of a rented ATV and colliding head-on with passing automobile.
The hapless 18 year old woman, had reportedly built up speed in an effort to overtake another four-wheeled vehicle, and collided with a passing automobile driven by a local twenty year old.
Preliminary investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the car accident is being conducted by the Police Department of Laganas. Despite the requirement for valid driver's lisences local rentors hand over the vehicles even to minors, with total disregard for the driver's safety and that of any unfortunate soul that crosses their path.
