Police arrested a 50 year old Greek and a 25 year old Mexican, as well as a 60 year old Colombian national involved in a cocaine trafficking case.
It is believed that a well known Latin American “cocaine king” is behind this cocaine trafficking ring.

As police announced they seized 230 kilos of cocaine. Part of this quantity was going to be sold in Greece (approximately 70 kilos) and remaining was to “travel” to the Middle East. The total value of the seized cocaine portion reached 10 million euros.

The cocaine trafficking gang were residing at a luxury hotel located at the southern coast of Attica and were waiting the final “OK” in order to send the quantities to their final destinations.

The “deal” was arranged at a cafeteria located in a southern Attica suburb a few days ago. After the “deal” was reached the 230 kilos of cocaine were placed in five suitcases at Mexico and were put on board a ship that would reach Piraeus port after passing from the Atlantic Ocean. The “shipment” was first taken to a fruit warehouse and was placed in crates filled with bananas and then was taken to the apartment in Voula.

The major Greek dealer involved in this case is known by the police from the past. The police has placed him under discrete surveillance. After a few days they managed to arrest him, his accomplices and the cocaine quantity found in the apartment.
