Professional cigarette smugglers nabbed

Hellenic Coast Guard in southern Crete seized a ship full of smuggled cigarettes at Kali Limenes, Heraklion.
Hellenic Coast GuardOfficers who participated in a raid on a smuggling operation could not believe in their eyes, as the smugglers had set a veritable professional rig for the transportation of tons of cigarettes.
According to information, the ship docked to Kali Limenes and the packages with all smuggled cigarettes were transferred to trucks via an automated conveyor belt system!
Officers arrested six crew members from Ukraine and two Greek drivers.
The ship is now docked to Agia Galini, Rethimno.
