Pappas calls siphoning local funds “voluntary lending”
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Minister of State Nikos Pappas called the government legislative act for forced concession of available funds from municipalities and regions “voluntary lending.”
"Obviously it is not an easy choice, and the government is not enforcing it with pleasure, but it is not showing any dissolution of municipalities, or hospitals. It is domestic borrowing."
Nikos .Pappas referred to the deal that the government is doing with the institutions and he said that we are not seeking any agreement but a solution.
"The institutions are bearers of requests that are not acceptable because they are the red lines of the government. The government is looking for, claiming, and will affect a solution, there is no dilemma of agreement or chaos. We do not want an agreement, we want a solution because there were agreements with previous governments and their effects are known to us all," he concluded.
