Dozens of Britons trapped on Zakynthos for third day due to EasyJet malfunctionc

Dozens of British tourists have been trapped for two days at the airport in Zakynthos, unable to return to their homeland.
As Daily Mail reports, the British live in "absolute chaos" on the Greek island of Zakynthos because of the fact that an EasyJet plane is stuck on the ground.
Flight EZY9746 to London Gatwick Airport failed to fly due to technical problems that the company's aircraft has been plagued with since Sunday.
EasyJet, as reported by the British newspaper, attempted to use an emergency flight, but it was canceled due to the ban on landing airplanes at night, a ban dictated to protect the sea turtles living on the island.
Many of the tourists trapped, including small children, were unable to find rooms in hotels or rentals as this is a high tourist season, while complaints to EasyJet were intense, since there was no information and no one offered the tourists something to eat or drink.
The lucky ones managed to return to Britain with other flights, while, according to the latest information, those who are still trapped on Zakynthos will depart this afternoon from the island.
According to EasyJet, as soon as the problem was detected on the aircraft, engineers went to Zakynthos to examine the technical problem and reported that they had solved it yesterday, Monday. However, the problem occurred again before the next boarding.
Zakynthos Airport is very close to beaches where sea turtles leave their eggs in the evening, and for this reason the authorities often prohibit the landing and take-off of aircraft in the evening.
