Olivia Colman wins best actress in Oscars for Yorgos Lanthimos’ “The Favourite”

Yorgos Lanthimos’s “The Favourite” took home one out of its 10 Oscar nominations, with Olivia Colman receiving the leading actress award.
Alfonso Cuaron received the Oscar for best directing, while Green Book was voted the Best Picture.
Below is the list of 2019 Academy Award winners in the major categories.
In a very emotional acceptance speech, Olivia Colman thanked Lanthimos, who upon the announcement of the winner knelt down and hugged the actress.
