Kikilias: Punishment for the paratrooper, helicopter flights for Kammenos

"Then no one spoke. They apparently believe the paratrooper is weak and they can hurt him. But if someone is strong, Minister or Chief of Staff, there are no security rules. We raised tones because we do not accept two measures: the strong to be saved and the weak to be punished," Vassilis Kikilias, the National Defense Secretary of the New Democracy, told OPEN TV.

Regarding the request by ND for the meeting of the Committee on Defense and Foreign Affairs on the results of the inquest carried out for the arrest of the two Greek soldiers in Evros, Mr. Kikilias pointed out: "Mr. Apostolakis answered a question of parliamentary control I filed that the case was closed and can not publish the results of the inquest due to confidentiality.

"We called for a meeting of the Committee on Defense and Foreign Affairs with the confidentiality process to be informed by the Minister. There can not be no responsibility that our two soldiers had been arrested and held so long in Turkish prisons. Responsible for the army of Evros was a commander and a deputy commander. Referring to the forthcoming visit of the Prime Minister to Skopje, the ND MP  stressed that it is bad that Mr. Tsipras is going to Skopje, while we have a huge issue with 10,000 Macedonian products, resulting in enormous financial damage to our Macedonia.

"The Prespa Agreement predicts that in three years it will be determined which are Macedonian products and which are not. Imagine what will happen for three years. China, a huge market, has rushed to say that it can not guarantee the term "Macedonian" for our products, as long as there is a state of North Macedonia. We observe at the same time that there is a climate of minority, rights and teaching of the so-called Macedonian language," said Kikilias.

Asked about the "Macedonia Xakousti" (Celebrated Macedonia) march and the March 25 parade, he stressed that "we live in a free country where every citizen has the right to do what his soul and heart want. On March 25th, I will be in Constitution Square and when our troops march, I want to hear "Macedonia Xakousti."
