Mitsotakis on Samos: ND to prioritize decongestion of East Aegean islands

The new government of New Democracy (ND) "will support the islands who are bearing the brunt of the refugee issue," the main opposition leader said on Monday on the island of Samos.
At the Samos Town Hall, Mitsotakis said "the decongestion of the East Aegean islands are an immediate priority for ND" and said "it is necessary to change the extremely time-consuming asylum-granting procedures." He also asserted the EU funding provided would be handled "much better, for humane conditions" to prevail at hotspots.
