Mitsotakis avoiding the word 'sanctions' with respect to Turkey, SYRIZA's Katrougalos says

George Katrougalos, in charge of foreign affairs for the main opposition SYRIZA party, accused Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of studiously avoiding to talk about the possibility of sanctions against Turkey, during an interview with radio station "Praktoreio FM" on Wednesday.
Commenting on Mitsotakis' statement about Turkey's activities in Cyprus' Economic Exclusive Zone (EEZ), Katrougalos said that it was "very interesting that we do not hear him utter the word 'sanctions' in the face of Turkey's strongly escalating violations and that he has even started to describe Turkey's illegal activity as 'unlawful' activity."
Concerning Turkey's plans for an attack on Syria, meanwhile, Katrougalos said there was obvious concern over developments in the region in and of themselves but that Greece had additional reasons to worry over the repercussions this could have with respect to the migration-refugees issue.
Asked to comment a Council of State ruling that found several provisions of the pensions' law that he had drawn up to be unconstitutional, Katrougalos noted: "The essence of the law, the heart of the reform, which foresaw a single fund with the same rules for all, was not only recognised by the Council of State as constitutional but, according to the court, it was a reform that supports the equality in the insurance system and serves inter-generational justice".
