The Greek government has launched an official community on the popular Viber messaging network that will provide information on all the developments regarding COVID-19 in the country, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in a post on social media.
"We stay home, we stay informed," wrote Mitsotakis, and provided the link for potential members at vb.me/b577fd
The new community is now available to all users of the Viber platform in Greece and will provide updated information on coronavirus developments, the measures the government has taken and the ways of restricting the virus' spread, government sources said. They added the community will collect all official notices in one place in the social media world and make them readily available to the public.
The project, it said, is part of the Digital Ministry's 'Digital Solidarity' initiative and part of the government's greater efforts to digitization.
