Pontian Evzones carried out the change of guard of the Tsoliades in the Presidential Guard yesterday, a day of remembrance for the 100 years since the Pontian Genocide.
The event caused great interest and emotion at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier.
As part of the events, last night the Greek parliament, in honor of May 19, the Day of Remembrance of the Pontian Genocide, was illuminated in red and black. According to a relevant announcement by the Greek Parliament, red and black "symbolize the blood of the innocent victims of genocide and timeless mourning. "
