The last "touches" are coming for tomorrow's special military parade on March 25, which will take place without people this year due to the restrictive measures in force for the pandemic.

Nevertheless, all of Greece is moving at a festive pace, as this year marks the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution. Many events for this day may have been planned for a long time, but the health crisis changed the plans and now everything has been adapted to the current conditions.

At the same time, police measures are draconian, since high level guests will be in Athens for the 200th anniversary. More than 4,000 police officers will be located in the heart of the capital. It is noted that from today until Thursday, traffic regulations will apply in Athens. Large highways will be closed, while parking will be prohibited.

Prince Charles arrives in Athens, 
Among the guests is Prince Charles and his wife, Camila, who will arrive in Athens at 17:35 Greek time, to attend tomorrow's military parade on March 25, while they will be with the other guests at 18: 15 at the New National Gallery, which opens its doors for the first time. As it has become known from the government staff, the inauguration will take place later, when the epidemiological data allow it.

At the same time, the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis is in Athens, while the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Misoustin will arrive at "El. Venizelos at 14:00 at noon. French Defense Minister Florence Parley will also arrive in Athens tonight to represent French President Emanuel Macron.

It is recalled that earlier the Prime Minister and the Cypriot President made joint statements.

The program for today is as follows:
14.00: Arrival of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Misustin at the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos". Honorary procession, reception by the Minister of Finance Christos Staikouras.
14.30: Meeting of the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Misustin at the Maximos Palace. Joint statements will follow.
17.35: Arrival of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall at the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos". Honorary procession, reception by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias.
18.15: The Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his wife Mareva Grabovski - Mitsotakis will welcome the guests in the new complex of the National Gallery, on the occasion of the completion of 200 years since the Revolution of 1821.
Short speeches by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni and the director of the National Gallery Marina Lambraki - Plaka will follow. The President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou will be present, accompanied by Mr. Pavlos Kotsonis, the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis, accompanied by his wife Andri Anastasiadis, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornoux Misoustin, the Ambassador of the French Republic Patrick Mezonav, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom Kate Smith, the President of the Commission "Greece 2021" Gianna Angelopoulou-Daskalakis with her husband Theodoros Angelopoulos and the President of the Museum Marouane
