Exarchia: Somalis tried to rape woman, searched her mouth for gold teeth
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The testimony of the 36-year-old woman who came face-to-face with two Somalis who, after entering her house in Exarchia with the intention of robbery, tried to rape her and pull out her teeth has shocked Athens.
Despite the extremely critical situation in which E.D.found herself, as she says she kept her composure which possibly even saved her life. What is certain is that she prevented the enraged perpetrators from raping her.
As he describes: “I said to myself, okay. Now I will live through this. Calmly. I delayed them as long as I could. I told them there was no money and they started looking and wasting time. This was good because I delayed them and they didn't have time to try to rush me earlier. They had been staying at my house for a long time and were starting to get stressed. So after some time they found the money, they said something in their language and one of them came and looked at my teeth. He was looking to see if I had a gold tooth to pull it out and then they tried to rape me."
How the 36-year-old with her composure prevented her rape
In her testimony on iefimerida.gr, the 36-year-old woman describes how she calmly tried to "block" the two thugs playing on their psychology as they were inside her house. As she describes:
“I never shouted. I never asked for help or shouted. I was very calm throughout the incident. I was talking to them. Both assailants tried to rape me, but I remained as cool as I could not lose control. I was talking to them calmly and my attitude blocked them. I never cried out except when they tried to pull the blanket down and rape me. Then I told them: "No, I don't want to do it in an imposing style. And because I was imposing in front of them and they could see that I was not afraid of them, they agreed."
The Exarchia police officers acted immediately as E.D. says. and despite the little evidence they had at their disposal, they managed to arrest one of the two Somalis while the search for the second one is ongoing.
As he says, “I want to emphasize that Exarchia police did a great job with very little evidence. The police team moved immediately and as you already know one of the perpetrators was arrested and I recognized the second one from a photo. What I would say to the girls who might find themselves in a similar situation in the future is to keep calm. "
Meanwhile, a new video has been released that shows one of the two Somalis leaving the 36-year-old's house with the stolen goods in hand.
