Romanians arrested for espionage - They had photographed the naval fort of Salamis

The port authorities proceeded with the arrest of two Romanians for espionage on Monday afternoon as photos of the Salamis Naval fort were found on their mobile phones.
The two men from Romania, aged 22 and 52, were spotted inside a tourist boat that was sailing in the channel of the Salamis Naval fort and were stopped by a Navy vessel.
The two men from Romania were taken to the Central Port Authority of Piraeus, where they were arrested for violating Article 148 of the Criminal Code (Espionage). At the same time, 3 mobile phones, 4,700 euros and 400 dollars found in their possession were confiscated, while the vessel they were on was taken to Paloukia, Salamis, in order to conduct a thorough inspection of its shipping documents.
