Woman plunges to death from Athens short term rental

According to information , the police were called to the scene after a phone call and found the body of the unfortunate girl in a pool of blood. The unfortunate girl is reported to have fallen into the void from the balcony of the third floor of a short-term rental room. A man is already in the hands of the police and is being questioned at the moment, while a forensic doctor is also on site to have an initial idea of ​​whether this is a crime or something else.

The woman of about 30 years old from Ethiopia was found in the open space in the early hours of Friday in ​​an apartment building on Kolokotroni Street in central Athens.

Shocking testimony from a resident of the apartment next door

A resident of the apartment next door, speaking to journalists as reported by public broadcaster ERT, at the scene of the tragedy claimed that he woke up to screams at dawn.

“The woman was saying, ‘open up, forgive me, come back’ and this kind of mumbling through her teeth, ‘baby, forgive me, come back’. I could make that out in English, the man I couldn’t make out what he was saying. I don’t know what they’re doing here or who they are, I was staying in the apartment at night. I woke up right at 4 in the morning to screams,” she claimed.

The police have arrested the 45-year-old Italian man with whom the deceased had allegedly made an appointment in the previous hours through a dating website.

According to the same information, the Italian man who had rented the apartment through a short-term rental platform while he was on vacation in our country, told the police that he had argued with the woman. It is noted that both the 45-year-old and the woman had cuts on their face and body.
