New York City Public Advocate and Democratic Party nominee for Mayor of New York City, Bill De Blasio, arrived at the headquarters of the Greek Orthodox Archdioces of America this morning and met with His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios.
Also present at this meeting were Emma Wolfe, Political Director of De Blasio's Campaign, His Chancellor Bishop Andonios of Fasianes, and Reverend Father Alexander Karloutsos.
The meeting left off on a positive note, and an assurance was given that Bill De Blasio was their favorite contender for the position of New York City Mayor. The relationship between De Blasio and His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios is expected to be a close one.
