A Greek-American is set to win a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest boxer to participate in a professional bout.
Augie Pantelias, 70, retired from the rings 34 years ago, but has retained his shape and fighting fitness and claims to be ready to break the world record.
The fight has been scheduled for June 2014, with details becoming available as they are fixed.
"I'm going to try and get Richard Simmons to train Augie, along with my father that trained him thirty years ago,"said promoter Marty Feldman.
Today, Augie resides in Philadelphia, and is married to a woman 35 years his younger.
