James Dalamagas is wanted for his involvement in the murder of Greek-Australian George Yiannopoulos in Belmore, south-west of Sydney, in April 1999.

Twenty-five years later, the Australian police sounded a global alarm for the Greek and placed a significant bounty for his capture.

This case became big in Australia about a month ago, when the police presented their evidence to journalists.

They believe that James Dalamangas, who is now 53 years old, is hiding in Greece and they have announced him with 200 thousand Australian dollars

Federal detectives and police officers from the New South Wales department turn to the show "Light in the Tunnel" and ask for the help of Greeks to trace the wanted man.

According to the officers, he may use the names "James", "Jim", "Tim", Dimitrios, "Dimitris", "Mitsos", "Takis", "Kanis" while it is considered certain that he speaks Greek well due to the years has lived in Greece.

James Dalamangas is of Mediterranean appearance, is 1.82 cm tall, has brown hair and eyes and a tattoo of Greek letters on his right forearm.

His father, who lives in Australia, stated that he has had no contact during all these years with the wanted man, which the authorities do not believe.

His father's origin is from Gorgomylos of Preveza and his mother's from Temeni Aigio.

To get closer to his image today, Australian authorities have created an approximate depiction of the wanted man based on his age progression, to help witnesses identify him.

"It is very important that we find this man. In Greece, the statute of limitations for this offense will soon expire. We believe that someone there knows where Dalamagas is. We won't stop until we find him. We urge the people of Greece to help us find Dalamanga.'
