Embassies of Greece & Cyprus Hold Open House
Again this year, The Embassy of Greece and The Embassy of Cyprus will hold an open house available to the public, in Washington, D.C.
The event scheduled for May 10th between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., is in collaboration with the European Union Embassies and the European Union Delegation to the United States, for the yearly EU Embassies' Open House. The day offers rare insight inside the Embassy's walls, with an intimate look into the two nation's traditions, culture and heritage.
The Embassy of Greece will offer a Byzantine Empire theme at its open house. It consists of a Byzantine exhibition, complete with Hellenic food, music, and artwork. A lottery will be conducted with a grand prize winning of a Greek island cruise! The Embassy of Cyprus will present a short documentary on the island and feature traditional halloumi cheese and soudjouko made of almonds and grape juice.
