During today's United Nations General Assembly session held at UN headquarters in New York City, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Evangelos Venizelos hosted the Foreign Ministers Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, at an 8:00 a.m. EST working breakfast; currently Greece serves as the alternating chair for this term.

Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides criticized Turkish-Cypriot delegates and the Turkish capital, for its absence of reunification discussion advancements and eluded that their main goal is to enhance the Northern territory.

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has stated the significance of finding a lasting solution for Cyprus, that is mutually beneficial to both sides.
