Vallone joins New York Sports Personalities as celebrity judge of charity cook - off

On October 28th, Council Member Peter F. Vallone Jr. will be a celebrity judge for the World Cares Center's 12th Annual Iron Skillet Cook-Off, a culinary competition between five New York City firefighters and five top celebrity chefs.
Vallone will be joined as a celebrity judge by a number of sports personalities, including Yankees play-by-play sportscaster John Sterling, former Giants and Jets wide receiver Plaxico Burress and Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Brian Wilson, among others.
All proceeds from the event will go to World Cares Center, a charity founded following the attacks on September 11th which aims to alleviate the pain and suffering of accidents and disasters by empowering communities through disaster response training.
