A group of Israelis who could not "swallow" the decision on Hagia Sophia burned the Turkish flag

There was a very bold protest in Israel, for the opening that Turkey made in Hagia Sophia for worship. A group of 9 people calling themselves the Jerusalem Initiative gathered in front of the Turkish consulate in occupied East Jerusalem and burned the Turkish flag they had brought with them.

After the incident, the police arrested the person who burned the Turkish flag. Elias Zarina, who stated that he is the chairman of the Jerusalem Initiative group, in a statement to the Anadolu agency, stated that the Initiative consists of Christians and Jews. Zarina said one member of the group, who appeared to have a gun in his waist, was an Israeli army official. In a statement to the press, he called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take a stand against Turkey and protect Christians around the world.

The members of the group hung some of the banners that were against Turkey on the outer front of the consulate, while after waving the flags of Greece and the Byzantine Empire for a while, then they burned the Turkish flag.
