Nikos Androulakis is KINAL party president in convincing victory over ex-PM G. Papandreou

European Parliament deputy (MEP) Nikos Androulakis will be the next president of the Parliament-represented Movement of Change (KINAL) political grouping, as he was leading with 68.42 percent on Sunday with 70.4 percent of the vote tallied.
He bested former prime minister (2009-2011) and veteran politician George Papandreou, who was polling 31.58 percent of the vote an hour after polling stations closed around the country.

Culture Ministry: 47 ancient items returning to Greece

The culture and sports ministry, in an announcement on Thursday, welcomed the happy outcome of a lengthy investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office in New York, which has resulted in the return of 47 stolen antiquities to Greece. During the case it was proved that, among the thousands of items from various cultures in a collection owned by Michael Steinhardt, one of the largest art collectors in the world, 180 were the products of antiquities trafficking and illegally exported from their countries of origin.

Ellinikon: Total investments and individual projects

In 2025, the construction works of the Ellinikon Commercial Hub, the new commercial, entertainment and business destination, on Vouliagmenis Avenue, that will extend to more than 185,000 sq.m., will be completed, as presented by Lamda Development.

In Mainalo, Arcadia, between Vytina and the peak of Tzelati, there is a unique point where the lowest temperatures in Greece have been recorded, with a record value that reached -35.3ºC according to the automatic meteorological station of the region, which belongs to the network of the National Observatory of Athens.
