Actress Brittany Murphy's final film is being released; over four years since her tragic death. "Something Wicked" will premiere on April 4th at its filming location in Eugene, Oregon. The independent film will initially be screened at Eugene's Regal Valley River Center 15. It will then be showcased at Seattle and Portland Regal theaters.
Successful Hollywood star Murphy's big breakout role happened in 1995 with her hit movie "Clueless". After moving to LA from Atlanta, she went on to star in top features such as "Girl, Interrupted", "Spun" and "8 Mile".
The storyline of "Something Wicked" centers around a young couple with a dark past that is detrimental to their romantic future. Murphy acted alongside John Robinson, James Patrick Stewart and Shantel VanSanten. Due to her untimely death, the movie's post-production was delayed until December 2012.
After suffering from cardiac arrest and collapsing in her bathroom, Murphy was pronounced dead on December 20th, 2009 at the age of 32. The Los Angeles corner stated her primary cause of death was pneumonia, with secondary factors of multiple drug intoxication and iron-deficiency anemia.
