Featured PM Mitsotakis visits girls orphanage in Thessaloniki

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday visited the "Melissa" Orphanage for Girls in Thessaloniki and talked with the girls staying at the facility.

Mitsotakis was given a tour of the premises by the members of its board and reassured them that the government supports welfare institutions, especially those involved with children, both at the level of the central state but also in collaboration with a network of donors that it is striving to channel toward actions "we consider worthy of their attention and support."

The specific institution currently hosts 27 girls, of which 20 are minors and seven are young adults that the institution is supporting for three years. The prime minister gave each girl a tablet as gift.

The next stop on Mitsotakis' tour of northern Greece is the hospital and the health center of Giannitsa and he will later visit the hospitals of Edessa and Veria.
