Arianna Huffington Gets Dunked in Ice Bucket Challenge
Arianna Huffington recently took part in the ALS ice bucket challenge, and got dunked by her daughter which can be seen in the video below.
The ALS ice bucket challenge has drenched its large amount of participants worldwide. The contest requests its subjects to have a bucket of ice water drenched over his/her head and challenge other to do so, within twenty-four hours, or make a donation in the fight against ALS.
Huffington posted on her Facebook page: "I accept Tim Armstrong and Ezra Klein's#IceBucketChallenge and donated to #StrikeOutALS. And I nominate Cindi Leive, Alicia Menendez, Andy Puddicombe who brought usHeadspace, and my favorite impersonator Nasim Pedrad. You have 24 hours!"
ALS contributions are used towards finding a cure for the amyotrophic lateral sclerosis disease also knows as Lou Gehrig's Disease, and by offering the best medical care possible for patients.
President and CEO of The ALS Association Barbara Newhouse stated of the ice bucket challenge, "We have never seen anything like this in the history of the disease... We couldn't be more thrilled with the level of compassion, generosity and sense of humor that people are exhibiting as they take part in this impactful viral initiative."
