Brooklyn Women Hospitalized After Carbon Monoxide Exposure

  • Written by

Three Brooklyn women have been hospitalized at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx at approximately 5:00 a.m., after being exposed to large amounts of carbon monoxide.

They remain in serious condition and are getting treated in a specialized hyperbaric chamber, according to 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck. The carbon monoxide source has not yet been identified.

A nearby resident blames construction activities that have been consistent at their two-story home this week. The neighbor stated, "I think they were doing some construction work and maybe it didn't go right, it's really scary...They're beautiful people, quiet, all to themselves, they don't bother nobody, they're responsible". The women are 21, 49 and 80 years in age and are expected to recover.
