A drop of 37% was registered between 2009-2013 in proceeds from gambling in Greece, going back to levels registered in 2004.

The President of the Socialist International, George Papandreou , during a working visit to Jordan was received on Monday 2nd of June, in Amman , by His Majesty the King Abdallah II. The King reviewed the repercussions of the crisis in Syria on neighboring countries, mainly on Jordan.

37th Book Fair Opens at Athens Odeum

A new urban experience started today at 19.00 pm in Athens, activating an architecturally, historically, and symbolically significant venue, the Athens Odeum, where the 37th Book Fair is taking place.

Parliament's surprise closure

A little after 17.00 pm on Wednesday, parliament was shut down after a relevant decision that surprised many, despite intense rumors preceding the move. Parliament will remain closed for two weeks pending the opening of summer sessions.

Social Dividend Cap Raised

The Hellenic government confirmed its decision today to heighten the yearly income cap for one-off social dividend beneficiaries, to 7,050 from 6,000 euros.
