"The thriving tourism in Greece, the euro country facing a crisis, generates high revenues and is the only developmental driving force for the Greek economy that is on the 6th consecutive year of recession," the article reads at the start.

For the second time in a week the German Chancellor said she does not see a new haircut for Greece, according to Deutsche Welle. In today's interview with the Ruhr Nachrichten newspaper, Merkel says "no, I do not see such a new haircut for Greece. We take one step at a time and we do not hide the fact that a lot of things should change in Greece, but on the other hand, we see clear progress and recognize it. In some areas things in Greece are going much better than a year ago."

An unbelievable debacle for PPC is evolving in recent days in Santorini as within 72 hours there were two general blackouts amid the peak of the tourist season and the international media are focusing on Greece after the fire at the factory production in Monolithi.
The latest blackout occurred Thursday evening, a little before 9 pm, due to a damage to the capacitor in the factory where an explosion occurred on Tuesday. Reportedly, the electrification of the island returned to 50% in the wee hours today.
