Greek-American Rita Wilson Releases New EP!

  • Written by

Greek-American entertainer Rita Wilson released her new EP "AM/FM The B-Sides" this week.

It follows her original "AM/FM" release and includes five new covers! Her song tunes are "Leaving on a Jet Plane", "Baby I'm Yours", "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight", "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours", and "I Can't Make You Love Me". They are now available on iTunes and amazon for $0.99 each.

As the Greek-American who is married to award winning actor Tom Hanks states on her website regarding her music career, "I had been missing out, professionally, on the connection I had to music...I said to myself, 'If this is a dream of yours, you're either going to do it or not do it, but you have to make a choice.' And I'd gotten to a certain point where the desire to do it overcame everything else. It was almost as if I had to do it or I would regret it. As scary as it was to jump off the ledge, I loved the process. I loved everything about it: the recording, the musicians, the hanging out, the creative discussions. I've always loved people who express themselves through music. To me, music is a universal way that people connect. I feel very grateful to be doing this".

Rita Wilson's mother was born in a Greek village, in modern day Albania. The Greek-American star's Hellenic ethnicity plays a large role in her existence. She served as My Big Fat Greek Wedding's producer, which is the highest grossing independent film ever. She also produced and held a role in My Life in Ruins. She is now set to produce the sequel to My Big Fat Greek Wedding! Wilson attends St. Sofia's Greek Orthodox church in Los Angeles regularly.
