Seaplanes for more than 30 destinations

Seaplanes are throttling to take off in 2022 starting from the Ionian. Three new waterways have been put on the map in the last week. Crete officially acquires its first waterway, with the granting of an establishment permit to the  Rethymnon Municipal Port Fund. The issuance of the permit for the Volos waterway had preceded, while the controls for the establishment of a waterway in Ios, the first in the Cyclades, were successfully completed. This lays the foundations for the creation of an extensive network of about 150 waterways in the country over a 5-year horizon, which will be the largest network in Europe, contributing to the Greek economy with more than 1 billion euros.

Fraport announced the earlier -than scheduled – renovation of 14 regional airports it manages in Greece

Fraport Greece this week will unveil the 14 renovated airports around Greece that the German-Greek consortium manages, one of the more successful privatizations recorded in the country over the past decade of economic turmoil.
According to the Athens-based consortium, led by German multinational Fraport, the works at the regional airports – located in the country’s premier holiday destinations – were completed three months before schedule.

Pfizer: Over 100 million investment in the second hub in Thessaloniki

The investment of the pharmaceutical industry Pfizer in the second hub in Thessaloniki amounts to more than 100 million euros, as the head of the second hub of the company in the city, Antonis Hatzimanolakis, said today. He added, among other things, that the American giant is always “looking” towards Greece and “if the appropriate incentives are found, it will proceed to other investments”.

Mr. Hatzimanolakis, head of the Business Operations and Services Center of Pfizer in Thessaloniki, which will be integrate seamlessly with the digital hub, the creation of which had preceded, referred to the new investment, on the occasion of the visit of the Minister of Development, Adonis Georgiadis, in the new venue, which will house both hubs.
