Greek-American comedian and actress Betty White offered an intimate interview with New You magazine, regarding her failed marriages.
In the interview, the 92-year-old entertainer who has been married three times, blames herself for two of her relationship's demise. Asked if she would change anything in her personal life, White stated: "To bring Allen [Ludden] back...And I wish I didn't have two bad marriages. They were probably my fault".
In 1981, husband Allen Ludden died of stomach cancer. White further commented, "I had lovely relationships, but not anything in the league of Allen". The famous Greek-American described her other two marriages, as not selecting appropriate men. Her other unions were to U.S. Army pilot Dick Barker and Hollywood agent Lane Allen.
Award-winning White exclaimed of marrying again, "Once you've had the best, who needs the rest?", concerning Allen Ludden. When New You asked her opinion on dating younger men, she joked, "If they want a cougar that's fine by me. I'm an animal lover...But I would always feel so insecure if I was with a much younger man. I would think, I'm getting older and he's not!". Superstar Betty White is of Greek descent through her maternal grandfather. Her interview in New You magazine just hit newsstands.
